RTA introduces more online payments

Good news everyone, the Roads and Transport Authority or RTA has introduced a new system to make buying and selling a used car easier than ever before.

Previously, both the buyer and the seller of the vehicle must be present when going through the process. However, due to certain commitments, this could be quite the task to achieve as many of us have different working hours and other elaborate excuses.

RTA have enhanced the process by allowing the buyer to directly pay online, meaning any conflicting issue won’t cause a problem. Customers buying vehicles to export can also utilise the system.

Most dealers across the Emirate already have Emirates ID card readers, and the majority also have the new system active in their showroom already. No additional service fees and only Emirates ID is necessary to complete the transaction. Although the buyer doesn’t have to physically present during the process, a representative or one’s PRO will have to meet the seller in person.

Any showroom that has not applied for the “easier payment” feature need to register with the RTA before the 31st of July. No price for dealers is mentioned by the Authority.

It’s not just easier for those legitimate buyers, the system will also cut down on scam artists running off with either vehicles or hard earned cash or in some cases both.

Now that it is much easier to buy a car, now is the perfect time to buy yourself a new car or used car for sale in Dubai. We’ve also got used cars for sale in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
