Summary

This Toyota Land Cruiser VXR is an exceptional find in the GCC market, showing just 68,000 km over 11 years—mileage significantly below the regional average for a vehicle of this age. Finished in black, which remains one of the strongest resale colors in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, this VXR trim offers the peak of Toyota’s luxury and mechanical capability. The 4.6L V8 engine provides a perfect balance of highway cruising power and long-term mechanical simplicity, a key factor for the legendary reliability these models are known for. For a buyer seeking the durability of a 200-series with a verified low-use history, this example stands as a premier choice for both desert weekends and daily family duties.

This Car vs Other 2015 Land Cruisers

With only 68,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has averaged roughly 6,200 km per year, which is exceptionally low compared to the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual use seen in the GCC. While many 2015 models have already surpassed the 200,000 km mark, this unit retains the mechanical tightness and interior freshness of a much younger vehicle. The black exterior is a high-demand choice that maintains superior value retention in the local used market compared to niche colors.

VXR vs Lower Trims

The VXR trim adds significant premium features over the GXR, including the sophisticated 14-speaker JBL Synthesis audio system and the full Multi-Terrain Select suite with Crawl Control. Inside, you benefit from ventilated front seats and a factory-integrated refrigerator in the center console, both of which are essential for GCC summers. It also features a superior safety layout with additional knee and side-curtain airbags compared to the standard GXR configuration.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Nissan Patrol Y62, the Land Cruiser 200-series is widely regarded for having a more robust body-on-frame architecture and higher resale liquidity across the entire GCC. It leads rivals like the Chevrolet Tahoe in off-road hardware, offering a standard 138-litre dual-tank system that provides significantly more range for cross-border drives or deep desert expeditions. The Land Cruiser’s air conditioning system is also specifically engineered to maintain cabin temperatures more effectively in 45°C+ heat than its European counterparts.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel consumption for the 4.6L V8 typically averages around 13.9L/100km combined, with the dual-tank system ensuring fewer stops during long-haul highway travel between emirates. Maintenance is supported by the most extensive authorized service network in the region, ensuring parts are available in almost every major city from Muscat to Riyadh. The Land Cruiser holds the highest value retention in its class, typically depreciating at a much slower rate than luxury European SUVs, making it a safe long-term financial investment.

Performance & Capability

The 304 hp V8 engine delivers smooth, linear power ideal for overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways and provides enough torque to manage heavy dune driving with ease. With its 225 mm ground clearance and full-time all-wheel drive, this vehicle is built for genuine off-road exploration rather than just mall commuting. The inclusion of Crawl Control allows the vehicle to automatically manage throttle and braking at low speeds, helping even novice drivers navigate soft sand safely.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a 7-seat environment designed for high-temperature comfort, featuring quad-zone climate control that ensures third-row passengers remain cool. Premium leather upholstery is paired with a wood-grain steering wheel, while the rear-seat entertainment screens keep family members occupied on long drives. The refrigerator in the center console is a standout feature for the region, keeping beverages chilled even during the peak of summer.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive with 10 airbags standard, including driver and passenger knee protection. This VXR trim features a 360-degree camera system and parking sensors to make maneuvering this large SUV effortless in tight city spaces. For highway safety, it includes Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Active Traction Control, providing stability during sudden maneuvers on sand-dusted road surfaces.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a top-spec, GCC-spec Land Cruiser with verified low mileage, offering the perfect combination of prestige, off-road dominance, and market-leading resale security.
