Summary

This GCC-spec Range Rover HSE represents the refined peak of the L405 generation, balancing executive prestige with genuine all-terrain capability. With mileage sitting just above the regional average for its age, it remains a mechanically sound choice for those seeking the flagship Land Rover experience without the overhead of a V8. The Grey exterior is a neutral, high-demand choice in the UAE, ensuring better resale stability compared to bolder colors. It offers a sophisticated entry point into the full-size luxury SUV segment, providing the air suspension and presence Range Rover is known for. For a buyer in the GCC, this combination of the supercharged V6 and the HSE trim provides the ideal balance of highway comfort and daily usability.

This Car vs Other 2019 Range Rovers

With just over 100,000 km, this Range Rover has seen typical usage for a UAE-based executive vehicle, where long highway commutes between emirates are common. While many listed examples may show lower figures, those often come from imported specs; this genuine GCC model offers the cooling and filtration systems required for our climate. The Grey finish is a strong asset in the local market, maintaining its appeal and value better than non-traditional shades.

HSE vs Lower Trims

The HSE trim significantly upgrades the cabin experience over the base model, introducing perforated Windsor leather and 20-way power-adjustable heated front seats. It also includes the high-resolution Touch Pro Duo infotainment system and a 380W Meridian sound system as standard, features that are highly valued by GCC buyers. Furthermore, the HSE adds essential driver aids like Blind Spot Monitoring and a 360° Parking Aid, which are particularly useful in fast-moving Dubai or Riyadh traffic.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

The Range Rover stands apart from rivals like the BMW X7 or Mercedes-Benz GLS by offering superior off-road hardware, including a standard self-leveling air suspension and the Terrain Response system. While German competitors focus on on-road dynamics, the Land Rover provides a 900 mm wading depth and a robust 3,500 kg towing capacity that few in the segment can match. Its 105-litre fuel tank also gives it a significant advantage for long-distance desert highway drives across the region.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.0L Supercharged V6 offers more manageable fuel consumption than the V8 variants, averaging approximately 10.5 L/100km on the highway. Land Rover recommends service intervals of 13,000 km or 12 months, though UAE specialists often suggest 10,000 km oil changes to combat the extreme summer heat. As a GCC-spec model, it retains value far more effectively than American or European imports, benefiting from an extensive authorized service network across all major GCC cities.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with a 340 hp supercharged V6, this SUV reaches 100 km/h in approximately 7.2 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on the E11. The standard Electronic Air Suspension allows for adjustable ground clearance, making it as capable in soft sand as it is composed at high speeds. With permanent All-Wheel Drive and multiple terrain modes, it handles the variety of GCC landscapes—from city tarmac to gravel wadis—with total confidence.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a sanctuary of Windsor leather and wood veneers, designed to isolate passengers from the harsh GCC exterior environment. Triple-zone climate control ensures all five passengers remain cool during peak summer months, supported by acoustic laminated glass that reduces road and wind noise. The dual-touchscreen layout provides a modern interface for navigation and media, while the panoramic sunroof features a gesture-controlled blind to manage heat soak while parked.

Safety

Standard safety tech on this HSE trim includes Lane Departure Warning, Emergency Braking, and a comprehensive 360-degree parking sensor suite. The vehicle's high driving position and large glass area offer excellent visibility, while stability control systems are specifically tuned to manage the vehicle's mass on both high-speed highways and low-traction surfaces. These active systems provide peace of mind for family road trips across the emirates.

The bottom line

Perfect for the Dubai executive or family seeking the status of a Range Rover with the reliability of a GCC-spec powertrain, this HSE represents a balanced and well-maintained opportunity in the current market.
