Summary

This Nissan Pathfinder SL offers a practical entry into the family SUV segment, featuring a versatile seven-seat layout and a reliable V6 engine. Given the vehicle age of 7 years, the mileage of 172,500 km is consistent with typical GCC highway use, where annual averages often exceed 25,000 km. The red exterior provides a distinctive look while maintaining broad appeal in the local used market. As a GCC spec vehicle, it benefits from localized cooling and a robust service network across the Emirates. This model remains a favorite for families prioritizing cabin space and straightforward mechanical maintenance over complex modern electronics.

This Car vs Other 2019 Pathfinders

At 172,500 km, this vehicle has been driven approximately 24,600 km per year, which aligns perfectly with the standard GCC driving profile for large family SUVs. While many regional listings feature silver or white, this red example offers a unique aesthetic without sacrificing the resale stability Nissan is known for. Its GCC specification ensures the air conditioning and radiator are optimized for local summer extremes.

SL vs Lower Trims

The SL trim is a significant step up from the S and SV, adding essential GCC luxuries like leather-appointed seating and a motion-activated power liftgate. Most notably, the SL introduces the Around View Monitor, providing a 360-degree bird's-eye view that is invaluable for parking such a large vehicle in tight urban spaces. It also features upgraded LED low-beam projector headlights for improved visibility during night-time highway drives.

Pathfinder vs Segment Rivals

The Pathfinder competes directly with the Ford Explorer and Honda Pilot, leading the group with its user-friendly EZ Flex Seating System that allows easy third-row access even with a child seat installed. Its 3.5L V6 is celebrated for its smooth power delivery compared to the turbocharged four-cylinders found in newer rivals. Additionally, its generous 6,000 lbs towing capacity makes it one of the most capable haulers in the crossover segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5L V6 engine typically returns a combined fuel consumption of approximately 10.1 L/100km, which is efficient for a seven-seater on long inter-emirate journeys. Maintenance is simplified by a vast network of authorized Nissan service centers across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with standard service intervals every 10,000 km. Japanese SUVs like the Pathfinder maintain some of the best value retention in the GCC, typically depreciating at a slower rate than American or European competitors.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 284 hp V6 engine, the Pathfinder offers confident overtaking power on highways like E11. The Xtronic CVT is tuned for fuel efficiency and smooth transitions, making it ideal for the stop-start traffic of Dubai or Riyadh. With a ground clearance of approximately 180 mm, it handles gravel tracks and weekend camping spots with ease, providing a stable and comfortable ride for all seven passengers.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is designed for family logistics, featuring tri-zone climate control with dedicated vents for all three rows to combat the summer heat. The SL trim's leather interior adds a premium feel, while the second-row seats slide and recline to maximize legroom. Superior cabin insulation ensures a quiet environment, effectively filtering out road and wind noise during high-speed cruising.

Safety

Safety is a priority with the SL trim, which includes Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert as standard to assist in fast-moving multi-lane traffic. It also features Automatic Emergency Braking and a comprehensive six-airbag system that earned high marks in global safety testing. These active systems provide peace of mind for school runs and long-distance family road trips alike.

The bottom line

This Pathfinder SL is the ideal choice for a growing family seeking a dependable, high-spec SUV that has been maintained in line with regional expectations. It offers the perfect balance of premium features and proven Japanese reliability at a highly accessible point in its lifecycle.
