Summary

This 2019 Nissan Patrol SE T2 offers a balanced entry into the world of full-size GCC SUVs, combining the iconic Y62 presence with a more efficient 4.0L V6 powertrain. The white exterior remains the gold standard for resale in the region, providing excellent heat reflection during peak summer months. With its seven-seat configuration and robust four-wheel-drive system, it is perfectly suited for large families and weekend escapes into the desert. As a GCC-spec model, it benefits from a heavy-duty cooling system and air conditioning performance specifically engineered for local extreme temperatures. This listing represents a reliable opportunity for a buyer seeking a durable, high-utility workhorse with a proven track record across the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2019 Patrols

At 114,762 km, this Patrol sits well below the typical 25,000 km annual average seen for long-distance cruisers in the GCC, suggesting it hasn't been subjected to the heavy cross-border travel common for this model. The white paintwork is the most liquid asset in the UAE used market, ensuring faster turnover and better value retention than darker shades. Its V6 configuration offers a more accessible maintenance profile compared to the high-output V8 variants from the same year.

SE T2 vs Lower Trims

The SE T2 trim is a significant step up from the base XE, adding essential technology that local buyers prioritize. It replaces the basic audio setup with a much-improved infotainment system featuring a display screen and a rearview camera for easier parking of this large SUV. Additionally, the SE T2 typically includes fog lamps, upgraded interior trim materials, and remote engine start—a vital feature for pre-cooling the cabin during the harsh GCC summer.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Nissan Patrol leads the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado in sheer interior volume and road presence, offering a 'big car' feel that rivals struggle to match. Its massive 140-litre fuel tank provides a superior highway range for long-distance trips between Dubai and Riyadh compared to smaller-tank competitors like the Mitsubishi Montero Sport. The Y62's independent suspension also provides a more settled ride on paved highways than the live-axle setups found in more agricultural rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 4.0L V6 typically averages between 14L and 17L/100km depending on the mix of city traffic and highway cruising. Maintenance is exceptionally straightforward in the GCC, with Nissan's vast service network ensuring parts are available in almost every major city from Muscat to Kuwait City. The Patrol holds some of the highest residual values in the region, typically depreciating at a slower rate than European luxury SUVs due to its reputation for mechanical immortality.

Performance & Capability

The 4.0L V6 produces a steady 275 hp and 394 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth 7-speed automatic transmission that handles highway overtaking with ease. While it lacks the raw punch of the V8, it retains the same hardware-based off-road capability, including a low-range transfer case and selectable terrain modes for sand and rock. The 244 mm ground clearance and optimized approach angles make it a genuine contender for dune bashing and reaching remote wadis.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat cabin is designed for long-haul comfort, featuring a powerful dual-zone air conditioning system with dedicated vents for all three rows to combat 45°C+ heat. The SE T2 cabin is notably quiet at highway speeds, thanks to extensive insulation that separates passengers from wind and road noise. A cooled centre console box is standard, keeping beverages chilled during long drives across the Emirates.

Safety

Safety is managed by a suite of front and side airbags, complemented by Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Brake Assist for emergency stops. The vehicle features Vehicle Dynamic Control and Hill Start Assist, which are particularly useful when navigating steep sandy inclines or gravel tracks. Standard rear parking sensors and a rearview camera provide critical visibility when maneuvering in tight urban spaces.

The bottom line

This Patrol is the ideal choice for a family looking for maximum space and legendary reliability without the higher running costs of the V8, backed by the best resale configuration available in the GCC.
