Summary

This 2020 QX60 Luxury offers a sophisticated blend of family logistics and premium refinement, featuring a smooth 3.5L V6 that is well-suited for GCC highway cruising. With 120,000 km, this six-year-old SUV aligns perfectly with the typical 20,000 km annual average for the region, suggesting consistent and expected usage. The Grey exterior is a highly practical choice for the local market, offering neutral appeal and better resistance to visible dust than darker shades. For buyers seeking a three-row crossover that prioritizes cabin quietness and seat comfort over raw off-road aggression, this AWD Luxury trim remains a top contender.

This Car vs Other 2020 QX60s

At 120,000 km, the mileage on this vehicle is exactly what is expected for a six-year-old car in the GCC, where long-distance highway commutes are the norm. The Grey finish is one of the most resilient colors for the local climate, helping maintain a clean look between washes while supporting strong resale interest. As an American spec model, it provides the full suite of North American luxury features at a more accessible entry point for local buyers.

LUXURY vs Lower Trims

The Luxury trim provides significant upgrades over the base Pure model, most notably the 13-speaker Bose premium audio system and integrated roof rails for extra utility. It also adds driver-seat memory settings and remote engine start, which is a vital feature in the GCC for cooling the cabin before entry during summer months. This trim also serves as the gateway to higher-tier driver assistance and entertainment packages that are not available on base models.

QX60 vs Segment Rivals

The QX60 leads rivals like the Acura MDX and Lexus RX-L in terms of second-row flexibility, thanks to a tilt-and-slide seat mechanism that allows third-row access even with a child seat installed. Its 74-liter fuel tank is specifically advantageous for cross-emirate drives, providing fewer stops on the long stretches between Dubai and Abu Dhabi or Riyadh. The monocoque construction ensures a more car-like, refined ride quality on paved roads compared to ladder-frame competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5L V6 engine is engineered for efficiency on the open road, typically averaging around 9.0 L/100km during highway cruising. While American spec vehicles should be checked for local service center compatibility, parts for this powertrain are widely available across the UAE and wider GCC due to shared components with other Nissan/Infiniti models. The QX60 maintains a steady depreciation curve, benefiting from the high local demand for reliable 7-seater luxury crossovers.

Performance & Capability

The 265 hp V6 engine provides linear power delivery, capable of reaching 100 km/h in approximately 8.4 seconds. Its Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system is designed primarily for on-road stability and increased traction during rain or on gravel tracks, rather than heavy dune bashing. With a verified towing capacity of 2,268 kg, it is fully equipped to handle jet skis or small camping trailers for weekend getaways.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for long-distance family comfort, featuring three rows of seats and tri-zone automatic climate control to ensure every passenger stays cool in peak summer heat. The Luxury trim includes power-adjustable heated front seats and high-quality leatherette upholstery that remains durable under heavy family use. Cargo space is highly versatile, expanding from 453 liters with all seats up to over 2,100 liters with the rear rows folded flat.

Safety

Standard safety tech on this trim includes Blind Spot Warning and Forward Collision Warning with Automated Emergency Braking, providing essential protection on fast-moving GCC highways. The vehicle also features a comprehensive airbag system and earned a 5-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA. The inclusion of electronic stability control and traction management ensures a planted feel during sudden maneuvers or high-speed cruising.

The bottom line

For a growing family in the GCC, this QX60 Luxury provides the perfect balance of premium Bose audio, seven-seat practicality, and a proven V6 engine at a price point that reflects its honest, expected mileage.
