Summary

This Range Rover Evoque R-DYNAMIC HSE P300 stands out with its potent 300 hp engine, a significant upgrade over the standard versions that balances city poise with genuine highway punch. With just 31,000 km, this vehicle has been driven well below the typical GCC annual average, making it a highly attractive prospect for buyers seeking a near-new experience. The Grey exterior is a versatile and sought-after choice in the region, ensuring better-than-average resale strength. As a premium compact SUV, it offers the prestige of a full-sized Range Rover in a more maneuverable footprint, ideal for both tight urban parking in Dubai and high-speed commutes across the Emirates. Ownership of a European spec car requires verifying service compatibility, but this specific trim's high output and low mileage make it a standout in the local used market.

This Car vs Other 2020 Range Rover Evoques

At 31,000 km, this Evoque is in the top tier for low-mileage examples in the GCC, where 2020 models often exceed 80,000 km due to long-distance highway habits. The P300 powertrain is rarer and more desirable than the standard P200 or P250 variants, providing the extra torque needed for effortless overtaking. Its Grey finish is a reliable resale choice, maintaining value better than niche colors in the local secondary market.

R-DYNAMIC HSE P300 vs Lower Trims

The R-DYNAMIC HSE trim is the high-water mark for the Evoque, adding 16-way electric Windsor leather seats and the dual 10-inch Touch Pro Duo system which is a major tech jump over the single-screen base models. It also includes the Meridian Surround Sound system and the innovative 'ClearSight' Ground View camera, which allows you to see 'through' the hood—a feature GCC buyers find invaluable for navigating high curbs and tricky terrain.

Range Rover Evoque vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Porsche Macan focus on pure road handling, the Evoque leads the segment with a 600 mm wading depth and Terrain Response 2, making it far more capable during the UAE's occasional heavy rain and flash floods. It offers a more avant-garde cabin design compared to the conservative BMW X3, featuring flush deployable door handles and a sleek, minimalist interior that remains cooler in high heat.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the P300 mild-hybrid sits around 9.5 to 10.5 L/100km in mixed GCC conditions, with the 48V system helping efficiency during stop-start traffic in major cities. As a European spec vehicle, it is important to note that while parts are widely available through independent specialists in the UAE, the official dealer warranty may not apply, which is typically reflected in a slightly more competitive purchase price. Land Rover models generally depreciate by 12–15% annually in the GCC, though this HSE trim’s high spec helps it retain a premium over entry-level units.

Performance & Capability

The P300 engine delivers 300 hp and 400 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 6.6 seconds and a top speed of 242 km/h. Its All Wheel Drive system features Driveline Disconnect to save fuel on flat highways, while the Terrain Response 2 system automatically adjusts for sand, grass, or gravel. With 212 mm of ground clearance, it handles weekend escapes to the desert outskirts with significantly more confidence than standard crossovers.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is finished in premium perforated Windsor leather, featuring 16-way heated and memory front seats that provide exceptional support for long drives between Emirates. The R-DYNAMIC HSE comes with a digital driver display and a panoramic sunroof that includes a high-quality electric blind to keep the cabin cool during peak summer. Dedicated rear vents and dual-zone climate control ensure all five passengers remain comfortable even in 45°C heat.

Safety

Standard safety tech on this HSE trim includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist, which is a lifesaver on the E11 highway, and a 360° Surround Camera for effortless parking. It also features high-speed Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Assist, and Lane Keep Assist to manage fast-moving urban traffic. The vehicle achieved a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, supported by a comprehensive suite of airbags and a reinforced passenger cell.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a style-conscious professional who wants the highest available performance and tech in the Evoque range without the typical high mileage of a six-year-old GCC car.
