Summary

This 2021 Nissan Patrol NISMO represents the peak of Japanese SUV engineering, combining desert-conquering reliability with a hand-tuned engine assembled by the same experts behind the GT-R. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the GCC, ensuring excellent resale value and heat reflection during peak summer months. With mileage under the regional yearly average, this NISMO remains a highly competitive choice compared to rivals like the Land Cruiser LC300. It offers a unique presence on the road that commands respect, backed by a performance-tuned chassis that handles highway speeds with far more composure than standard luxury SUVs. For a GCC buyer, the peace of mind provided by Nissan's massive authorized service network makes this high-performance flagship a practical yet prestigious daily driver.

This Car vs Other 2021 Patrols

With 86,500 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven roughly 21,500 km per year, which is comfortably below the typical GCC annual average of 25,000 km. The Pearl White finish is the highest-demand color for the Patrol in the UAE and Saudi markets, providing a distinct resale advantage over darker shades. This specific unit benefits from being a facelifted 2021 model, featuring the improved aerodynamics and updated cockpit tech over older versions.

NISMO vs Lower Trims

The NISMO is a significant leap over the LE Platinum City, adding a hand-tuned V8 engine with an extra 28 hp and a specifically calibrated torque curve. It features a bespoke Bilstein suspension system for sharper handling, 22-inch lightweight forged wheels, and a unique Alcantara-swathed interior with red carbon fiber accents. Functional aerodynamic enhancements, including side ducts and a Formula 1-inspired rear fog lamp, differentiate it from the standard luxury trims.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300, the Patrol NISMO offers a more visceral, naturally aspirated V8 experience that many GCC enthusiasts prefer over newer turbocharged alternatives. Its 140-litre fuel tank provides a superior driving range for long-distance hauls between cities like Dubai and Riyadh. The cabin is widely regarded as offering better acoustic insulation and a more plush, lounge-like second row than its primary American competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the tuned V8 typically averages between 16 and 17.5 L/100km in mixed GCC driving conditions. Service intervals are standardized at 10,000 km or 6 months, supported by one of the most comprehensive authorized service networks in the region, including Al Masaood and Arabian Automobiles. Historically, the NISMO trim maintains a strong value retention rate in the UAE, typically depreciating at a slower rate than European luxury performance SUVs.

Performance & Capability

The Takumi-tuned 5.6L V8 delivers 428 hp and 560 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h time of approximately 6.6 seconds. While the NISMO body kit is road-focused, it retains the Patrol's legendary 4WD hardware, including a low-range transfer case and rear differential lock for weekend desert trips. The Bilstein dampers significantly reduce body roll, making it one of the few full-sized SUVs capable of high-speed highway stability and confident cornering.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat interior is finished in high-grade Burgundy Alcantara and leather, designed to remain cooler to the touch than standard leather during extreme summers. The cabin features a powerful triple-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents to ensure all passengers remain comfortable in 45°C+ heat. Technology highlights include a 13-speaker Bose audio system and dual rear entertainment screens, making it an ideal long-distance family tourer.

Safety

The 2021 NISMO comes equipped with Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility suite, featuring Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection and Forward Collision Warning. For highway driving, it includes Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are essential for navigating multi-lane GCC roads. The 360-degree Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection makes parking this large SUV effortless in tight urban spaces.

The bottom line

This 2021 Patrol NISMO is the perfect acquisition for a buyer seeking the ultimate Middle East-exclusive flagship that offers higher prestige and better road manners than a standard Patrol.
