Summary

This 2023 Range Rover HSE represents a compelling opportunity in the GCC market, offering the redesigned L460 generation's prestige with only 33,000 km. Its black exterior is a high-demand, strong-resale choice across the region, perfectly complementing the flagship SUV's refined aesthetic. Powered by a potent V8 engine, it effortlessly handles long-distance highway cruising between emirates while maintaining the composure required for city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. As a three-year-old vehicle, it has moved past the steepest initial depreciation curve, making it a strategically sound purchase for buyers seeking the current model's tech and luxury. For any GCC owner, the hallmark of this model is its class-leading cabin insulation and cooling capacity, ensuring absolute comfort even during peak summer temperatures.

This Car vs Other 2023 Range Rovers

With 33,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits comfortably below the typical GCC annual average of 20,000–25,000 km, marking it as a well-preserved example for its age. The black-on-black configuration is a staple of value retention in the local used market, ensuring faster resale compared to more niche colors. This specific listing offers the updated L460 platform, which provides a significantly more modern interior and refined ride quality than the previous generation still found in older 2022 inventory.

HSE vs Lower Trims

The HSE trim is a significant step up from the base SE, adding features that are essential for the GCC climate, such as upgraded perforated Windsor leather and a more powerful four-zone climate control system. It also standardizes the Head-Up Display and a more premium Meridian 3D Surround Sound system, which are often optional extras on lower variants. Most importantly for local drivers, the HSE typically includes enhanced seating adjustments with cooling functions, a genuine luxury during the desert summer.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS offer excellent road manners, the Range Rover leads the segment with its 900 mm wading depth and superior off-road geometry for weekend desert excursions. Its 90-litre fuel tank provides a significant advantage for long-distance cross-border drives, offering greater range than many performance-oriented competitors. The inclusion of all-wheel steering as standard on this generation makes it more maneuverable in tight urban parking than many smaller crossovers.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.4L V8 engine is designed for high-performance efficiency, though real-world GCC city driving typically sees consumption around 16L/100km, dropping significantly on the highway. Land Rover's authorized service network is extensive across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring specialized maintenance is always accessible. While European luxury SUVs generally see 12–18% annual depreciation, the flagship Range Rover's strong local demand helps it retain value better than its smaller siblings. Maintaining a full service history at a recognized center is the most effective way to protect this vehicle's premium resale status.

Performance & Capability

The twin-turbo V8 delivers 500 hp, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 4.6 seconds—performance that makes highway overtaking effortless. The Electronic Air Suspension allows the vehicle to raise its ground clearance to a maximum of 295 mm, ensuring it can navigate sandy tracks or gravel paths with ease. Integrated Terrain Response 2 technology automatically optimizes the drivetrain for GCC conditions, including a dedicated 'Sand' mode for the dunes.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of quiet, utilizing active noise cancellation to filter out road and wind noise during high-speed highway travel. Rear passengers enjoy dedicated climate zones and ample legroom, while the massive sliding panoramic roof adds an airy feel to the interior. The 13.1-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen is highly responsive and includes wireless smartphone integration, keeping you connected across the Emirates.

Safety

This HSE comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including a 360-degree 3D surround camera that is invaluable for parking such a large vehicle. Standard safety features like Blind Spot Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist provide added confidence on fast-moving GCC highways. The vehicle also features advanced ClearSight technology, which can turn the rearview mirror into a digital screen or even show the terrain directly underneath the hood.

The bottom line

For the executive buyer who needs a vehicle capable of both a high-stakes arrival and a remote desert escape, this low-mileage V8 HSE is the definitive GCC choice. It offers the perfect balance of the latest generation's technology and a market-preferred color at a significant saving from the original list price.
