Summary

This 2024 Nissan Patrol SE Platinum City is an ideal family-first buy, combining high-trim luxury with the more fuel-efficient 4.0L V6 powertrain. As the top-tier SE variant, it offers premium features like quilted leather and 20-inch wheels while maintaining lower daily running costs than its V8 siblings. The Grey exterior is a neutral, strong-resale choice for the GCC, and the 57,010 km mileage represents a vehicle that has been regularly used for highway travel, where this model truly excels. For the local buyer, the combination of eight-seat practicality and legendary reliability makes this a secure investment in a market that prioritizes Nissan's durability. It stands out as a refined daily driver that is just as capable of long weekend trips across the Emirates as it is for the school run.

This Car vs Other 2024 Nissan Patrols

With 57,010 km, this vehicle’s mileage is average for a 2024 model in the GCC, reflecting the region's typical high-mileage highway driving. Its Grey exterior is a highly desirable resale color locally, providing better long-term value than bolder shades. Choosing the V6 SE Platinum City version offers a smarter balance of luxury features and fuel economy compared to the heavier, thirstier V8 models often found in this year's market.

SE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The Platinum City trim is a significant upgrade over the SE Titanium, adding premium quilted leather upholstery and a 13-speaker Bose audio system. It also includes the 360-degree Around View Monitor with moving object detection, which is essential for maneuvering a vehicle of this size in tight Dubai or Riyadh parking spaces. Additional luxuries like a cooled center console and front seat ventilation make it far better suited for the GCC summer than lower base trims.

Nissan Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol leads the Toyota Land Cruiser in cabin refinement and interior tech for the price, offering a more car-like dashboard layout and smoother ride quality. Its massive 140-litre fuel tank provides a distinct advantage over the Ford Expedition for long-distance desert crossings between cities. Furthermore, Nissan’s air conditioning systems are widely regarded in the region as some of the most powerful, cooling the large 8-seat cabin faster than many American rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

The V6 engine delivers a combined fuel economy of approximately 11.8 L/100km, which is significantly more efficient for city traffic than the V8 version. Resale value for the Patrol remains among the highest in the GCC, typically retaining 80-85% of its value after the first year. Maintenance is straightforward with 10,000 km service intervals and the most extensive authorized service network in the region, including Al Rostamani and Arabian Automobiles in the UAE.

Performance & Capability

The 4.0L V6 produces a reliable 275 hp and 394 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth 7-speed automatic transmission designed for effortless highway cruising. While it is a road-focused luxury SUV, it retains a heavy-duty four-wheel-drive system with selectable modes for Sand, Snow, and Rock. A standard 273 mm ground clearance ensures it can handle weekend desert excursions and steep dunes with confidence.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a true 8-seater with a spacious third row that comfortably accommodates adults, a rarity in this segment. GCC-specific comfort is prioritized with a powerful tri-zone climate control system and dedicated vents for all three rows to combat extreme summer heat. Acoustic glass and high-quality insulation keep the interior remarkably quiet, even at 120 km/h on the E11 highway.

Safety

This trim is equipped with the full Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite, featuring Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection. Safety in fast-moving highway traffic is enhanced by Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, while the 360-degree camera provides a bird's-eye view for safe parking. The body-on-frame construction and comprehensive airbag system provide robust protection for all eight occupants.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who wants the prestige and luxury of a Platinum-spec Patrol without the high fuel overhead of a V8, this V6 SE Platinum City is the perfect middle ground. It is a modern, tech-rich family SUV that holds its value better than almost anything else on the road.
