Summary

This 2024 Nissan Patrol in high-demand White offers a powerful V8 driving experience with mileage that sits right at the average for GCC highway use, ensuring its mechanical health is well-matched to its age. As the LE Platinum City, it represents the highest tier of luxury for the V8 model, featuring the exclusive city-style bumper and premium 22-inch wheels that command high resale value. This model stands out for its legendary off-road hardware paired with a refined cabin that easily accommodates seven passengers. For a buyer in the GCC, this vehicle offers the ultimate balance of a prestigious daily commuter and a robust desert explorer. It remains one of the most reliable long-term investments in the region's automotive market.

This Car vs Other 2024 Patrols

With 27,000 km, this vehicle aligns closely with the typical annual mileage expected in the GCC, where long-distance highway commutes are the norm. The Pearl White exterior is the most sought-after color for this model in the UAE and Saudi markets, significantly aiding in faster resale and better price retention. Choosing a 2024 model provides the benefit of the latest Y62-generation refinements before the transition to new engine architectures.

LE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The LE Platinum City is the range-topping V8 trim, adding significant upgrades over the Titanium, including machine-cut 22-inch alloy wheels and the exclusive 'City' front bumper for a more sophisticated road presence. Inside, it features ventilated and heated front seats, a 13-speaker Bose premium audio system, and dual 12.8-inch rear entertainment screens that are essential for family comfort in the Gulf climate. It also includes the full Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite as standard.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol leads the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and Chevrolet Tahoe in terms of its massive 140-litre fuel tank, which is a major advantage for long-distance desert trips or crossing borders between emirates. While rivals have moved toward smaller displacement turbocharging, the Patrol retains its naturally aspirated 5.6L V8, offering a linear power delivery and a distinctive sound that remains a favorite among GCC enthusiasts. Its cabin also offers a more traditional luxury feel with extensive wood and leather finishes.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 5.6L V8 typically ranges between 16–18 L/100km, which is expected for a vehicle of this size and capability in GCC stop-start traffic and high-speed highway cruising. Service intervals are recommended every 10,000 km, supported by one of the most extensive authorized service networks spanning the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. The Patrol historically enjoys one of the lowest depreciation rates in the region, typically losing only 8-10% annually, making it a highly liquid asset in the used market.

Performance & Capability

The 400 hp V8 engine provides robust torque for effortless highway overtaking and serious dune climbing capability. It features a sophisticated Four Wheel Drive system with selectable modes for Sand, On-road, Snow, and Rock, paired with a low-range transfer case and a rear locking differential. With a 244 mm ground clearance and a 3,500 kg braked towing capacity, it is perfectly suited for weekend adventures involving boat trailers or remote camping.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for extreme summer temperatures, featuring a powerful tri-zone climate control system and a cooled center console box to keep beverages chilled. Seven adults can sit comfortably across three rows, with premium quilted leather upholstery providing a high-end feel throughout. Acoustic glass and thick insulation ensure a quiet environment even at high highway speeds, isolating passengers from road noise and desert heat.

Safety

This trim is equipped with the full Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite, including Intelligent Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, and Blind Spot Intervention, which are vital for the fast-paced multi-lane highways of the GCC. The standard 360° Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection makes maneuvering this large SUV in tight city parking structures far simpler. It also features six airbags and a high-strength body-on-frame construction for maximum occupant protection.

The bottom line

This is a prime opportunity for a family or enthusiast seeking the peak of V8 luxury in a current-year GCC spec Patrol that will hold its value better than almost any other vehicle in its class.
