Summary

This 2026 Jetour X70 Plus in the LUX trim offers an exceptional blend of modern technology and family-oriented space that stands out in the competitive GCC crossover market. With a powerful 197 hp engine and 7-seat versatility, it’s built to handle both the daily city grind and long-distance desert highway runs with ease. The Black exterior is a highly sought-after resale color in the UAE, and the car's feature-heavy specification provides a luxury feel that rivals more expensive segments. Given its recent model year, this is a strong opportunity for buyers looking for a near-new SUV with modern safety and connectivity. For any GCC owner, the balance of high equipment levels against affordable maintenance makes this a sensible, high-value choice.

This Car vs Other 2026 X70 Pluses

With 42,200 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven slightly above the typical GCC annual average, suggesting consistent highway use which is often better for engine longevity than stop-start city idling. The Black exterior is a top-tier choice for resale value in the local market, holding its appeal better than niche colors. As a 2026 model, it benefits from the latest tech updates and remains a current-generation aesthetic on UAE roads.

LUX vs Lower Trims

The LUX trim significantly upgrades the cabin experience over the Comfort base, most notably adding the 360° panoramic camera system which is essential for parking a wide-bodied SUV in tight city spots. It also standardizes the power tailgate with foot-sensor activation and wireless phone charging, two features highly valued by GCC family buyers. Inside, you also gain ambient lighting and upgraded electric seat adjustments that provide a more premium feel during long commutes.

X70 Plus vs Segment Rivals

The X70 Plus competes directly with the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro and MG RX8, where it leads with a wider body stance (1,900 mm) that translates to better shoulder room for second-row passengers. While rivals often stick to 1.5L engines, the 197 hp 1.6T in this Jetour provides a noticeable edge in highway overtaking power. Its dual 10.25-inch screen setup offers a more integrated, digital-first cockpit experience than many traditional competitors in this price bracket.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 1.6T engine typically ranges between 8.1L and 9.5L/100km, which is competitive for a 7-seater petrol SUV in GCC traffic conditions. Jetour has rapidly expanded its authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with standard service intervals recommended every 10,000 km to maintain the long-term engine warranty. While Chinese brands face steeper initial depreciation than Japanese rivals, the X70 Plus has shown strong value retention in the UAE due to high demand for affordable 7-seaters.

Performance & Capability

The 1.6-liter turbocharged engine delivers a punchy 197 hp and 290 Nm of torque, allowing for smooth acceleration and a top speed of approximately 180 km/h. Its 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission is specifically tuned for smooth shifts, avoiding the overheating issues sometimes found in dry-clutch systems during extreme GCC summer heat. While it is a front-wheel-drive crossover intended for tarmac, the 210 mm ground clearance is more than enough for gravel tracks and weekend camping trips.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for GCC summers, featuring a powerful automatic climate control system with dedicated vents for the rear rows to ensure all seven passengers stay cool. The LUX trim includes synthetic leather upholstery with ergonomic support and a large panoramic sunroof that brightens the interior without compromising insulation. Cargo space is highly flexible; while the boot is compact with all seats up, folding the third row opens up 438 litres of usable space for groceries or luggage.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of the LUX trim, which features a full suite of ADAS tech including Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, and Forward Collision Warning to help navigate fast-moving UAE highways. Passive safety is supported by multiple airbags and a high-strength steel cage construction. Standard stability control and hill-start assist provide additional peace of mind when driving on varied surfaces or multi-level parking ramps.

The bottom line

This 2026 Jetour X70 Plus LUX is an ideal match for a growing family that prioritizes modern tech and safety without the premium price tag of European brands. Its current-gen features and strong road presence make it one of the most competitive used SUVs currently available in the GCC.
