As gorgeous as the last generation Vantage was and still is, somehow, Aston Martin has created an equally stunning version of their iconic two-door sports car. Revealed just a few weeks ago, a quiet event took place right here in Dubai, the 2018 Aston Martin Vantage is stunning from every angle.
Riding on an updated aluminium structure found underneath the DB11, the ultra-luxurious grand tourer hides front double wishbone suspension and a multi-link up in the rear. New active dampers are present offering three unique drive modes: Sport, Sport plus and Track.
The new 2018 Aston Martin Vantage is the brands first model to utilise an electronic rear differential. Working in conjunction with the electronic stability control system, Aston Maritn’s latest sports car offers drivers a unique experience.
While the new Vantage is undoubtedly a work of art, all of those fancy pieces of bodywork play a vital role regarding aerodynamics. The front splitter channels air underneath the vehicle. Running through specially made corridors, the air spills out through the rear clean and uninterrupted thanks to the eye-catching rear diffuser.
Each side sports new side gills that push air towards the front wheel arches while the air pushing down on the rear end produces “a significant level of downforce.”
2018 Aston Martin Vantage; Elegance, premium luxury and raw power
Hiding beneath its alluring exterior is an AMG sourced 4-litre twin-turbo V8 pumping out 503 horsepower and 685 Nm of torque mated to an eight-speed ZF transmission. While this may turn purists away, there is a silver lining as the British manufacturer has hinted at a more engaging manual box.
Not only are the numbers impressive, but Aston Martin has also set the motor as low and far back and possible to offer a perfect 50:50 weight distribution.
Complete with fine-tuning of the exhaust system, engine management system and induction, the 2018 Aston Martin Vantage delivers a sweet tune sure to turn heads where ever it pleases.
