2018 Infiniti Q50 Sports sedan breaks cover in Switzerland

Last week, we covered the single image Infiniti released of their entry level sedan. With Geneva in full swing, we’ve got a fresh batch of pictures and information of the 2018 Infiniti Q50 Sports Sedan.

With a refreshed front end sporting the reworked double-arch front grille with bolder mesh, the sports sedan also features bolder lines along either side. Lights are also new, and on select rims, there are new front and rear bumpers.

Inside the cockpit of the 2018 Infiniti Q50 Sports vehicle, future buyers can expect higher grade materials making up the seats, dashboard and door panels plus new technologies.

There’s a new steering wheel with paddle shifters mounted behind and spinal support for the seats. Additional, BOSE premium sound system are said to return as is the brands InTouch media system.

Those planning on purchasing a 2018 Infiniti Q50 Sports Sedan can choose between a variety of engines. Base models get a 2-litre turbocharged petrol motor powering the rear wheels rated at 208 horsepower. Next up is the V6 3.5-litre Hybrid powertrain with 302 horsepower and to round up the selection is the 3-litre V6 twin-turbo pumping out 400 horsepower found exclusively in the Red Sport 400.

Those looking for a diesel power unit, a 2.2-litre turbodiesel is available in select markets with 168 horsepower on tap.

The Japanese luxury manufacturer also has detailed select optional extras available. Digital Suspension with electronic adaptive dampers and a choice of all-wheel drive is rear wheel drive is not your thing.

2018 Infiniti Q50 Sports Sedan’s are scheduled to launch in the US in the next few months with other markets following shortly afterwards.
