UAE Petrol Prices October 2026: How Much Does A Full Tank Cost?

Petrol prices in the UAE have jumped sharply for October 2026, putting the cost of filling up firmly back in the spotlight.

Super 98 now costs AED 4.40 per litre, Special 95 is AED 4.28 per litre, while E-Plus 91 costs AED 4.21 per litre. This makes October the most expensive month for petrol in 2026 and the second-highest monthly level since the UAE deregulated fuel prices in 2015.

For a detailed breakdown of the changes, check out the latest UAE petrol prices and our report on the October 2026 petrol price increase.

The record remains July 2022, when Super 98 reached AED 4.63 per litre, Special 95 cost AED 4.52, and E-Plus 91 was AED 4.44.

So what does that mean when you pull into a petrol station with an SUV, sedan, hatchback, hybrid, or supercar?

UAE Petrol Prices In October 2026

Fuel TypeOctober 2026 Price
Super 98AED 4.40/litre
Special 95AED 4.28/litre
E-Plus 91AED 4.21/litre

The calculations below show the approximate cost of filling an empty tank. The lower figure uses E-Plus 91 and the higher figure uses Super 98.

Drivers should always use the octane rating recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. Some performance and luxury cars require or recommend 95 or 98 RON, meaning their actual fill-up cost will be closer to the upper end of our estimates.

Want to understand what’s behind the latest increase? Here’s a detailed look at why petrol prices have increased in the UAE.

SUVs: Average Full Tank Price AED 410 To AED 429

Large SUVs feel the October increase more than most cars simply because of their bigger fuel tanks. Among the five SUVs selected here, the average tank capacity is around 97 litres.

Full tank cost UAE
SUVTank CapacityApprox. Full Tank Cost
Nissan Patrol97 litresAED 408 to AED 427
Toyota Land Cruiser110 litresAED 463 to AED 484
Toyota Land Cruiser Prado110 litresAED 463 to AED 484
Mercedes-AMG G 63100 litresAED 421 to AED 440
Jetour T270 litresAED 295 to AED 308

The Land Cruiser and Prado are the most expensive of these examples to completely fill, with their 110-litre tanks potentially pushing a petrol station visit close to AED 500.

Even the 97-litre Nissan Patrol can now cost more than AED 400 to fill from empty.

Sedans: Average Full Tank Price AED 226 To AED 236

Sedans generally have much smaller tanks than full-size SUVs, helping to keep the bill under control despite October’s higher petrol prices.

The five examples below have an average tank capacity of around 54 litres.

Toyota Camry60 litresAED 253 to AED 264
Nissan Altima61.3 litresAED 258 to AED 270
Toyota Corolla50 litresAED 210 to AED 220
Nissan Sunny41 litresAED 173 to AED 180
Honda Accord56 litresAED 236 to AED 246

Among these cars, the Nissan Sunny remains one of the least expensive to completely fill because of its relatively small 41-litre tank.

A Camry or Altima owner, meanwhile, is looking at roughly AED 250 to AED 270 for a theoretical empty-to-full refill.

For buyers prioritising lower running costs, here are the most fuel-efficient cars in the UAE.

Supercars: Average Full Tank Price AED 325 To AED 340

A supercar’s fuel bill depends on two things: reasonably large tanks and a strong preference for premium fuel.

The average tank size among the five cars below is around 77 litres.

Full tank cost UAE
SupercarTank CapacityApprox. Full Tank Cost
Lamborghini Huracán80 litresAED 337 to AED 352
Ferrari 812 Superfast92 litresAED 387 to AED 405
McLaren 750S72 litresAED 303 to AED 317
Porsche 911 GT364 litresAED 269 to AED 282
Aston Martin Vantage78 litresAED 328 to AED 343

In practice, most of these cars will be filled with high-octane petrol, so owners should look towards the upper end of these figures.

The Ferrari 812 Superfast stands out with its 92-litre tank. A full tank of Super 98 now costs roughly AED 405.

Hybrids: Average Full Tank Price AED 220 To AED 230

A hybrid does not necessarily have a dramatically cheaper full-tank bill. Its biggest saving comes from travelling further on that tank by combining a petrol engine with an electric motor.

The five hybrids selected here have an average fuel capacity of just over 52 litres.

Full tank cost UAE
HybridTank CapacityApprox. Full Tank Cost
Toyota Camry Hybrid50 litresAED 210 to AED 220
Toyota RAV4 Hybrid55 litresAED 232 to AED 242
Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid43 litresAED 181 to AED 189
Honda Accord:e48.5 litresAED 204 to AED 213
Lexus RX 350h65 litresAED 274 to AED 286

The Corolla Cross Hybrid is particularly light on the wallet at the pump, requiring under AED 190 for a theoretical full tank even using Super 98 pricing.

The real advantage appears after leaving the petrol station, as hybrids can typically cover considerably more kilometres per litre than equivalent petrol-only cars.

Hatchbacks: Average Full Tank Price AED 183 To AED 191

Small hatchbacks are among the least affected by higher fuel prices when considering the cost of a single refill.

Our five examples average just over 43 litres of fuel capacity.

HatchbackTank CapacityApprox. Full Tank Cost
Suzuki Swift37 litresAED 156 to AED 163
Kia Picanto35 litresAED 147 to AED 154
MINI Cooper44 litresAED 185 to AED 194
Volkswagen Golf GTI50 litresAED 210 to AED 220
Mazda 3 Hatchback51 litresAED 215 to AED 224

The Kia Picanto comes out as the cheapest car on this list to fill, with its 35-litre tank costing roughly AED 147 to AED 154.

The performance-focused Golf GTI has a larger 50-litre tank, while the Mazda 3 Hatchback holds 51 litres.

How Much More Are You Paying Than September?

October’s increase is significant. In September 2026, Super 98 cost AED 3.80 per litre, Special 95 was AED 3.69 and E-Plus 91 cost AED 3.61.

That means prices have risen by around 59 to 60 fils per litre in just one month.

For perspective, filling a 50-litre tank now costs around AED 30 more than it did in September. For a large SUV with a 100-litre tank, the difference can reach approximately AED 60 per fill-up.

If a driver fills a 100-litre SUV four times per month, October’s increase alone could add roughly AED 240 to the monthly fuel bill.

Fuel is also only one part of the total expense of running a vehicle. Our detailed guide explains the wider cost of owning a car in the UAE, including insurance, depreciation, maintenance and other expenses.

Which Cars Are Hit Hardest By Higher Petrol Prices?

Unsurprisingly, large petrol SUVs with 90 to 110-litre tanks feel the increase the most. Models such as the Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Prado, Nissan Patrol and Mercedes-AMG G 63 can now require well above AED 400 for an empty-to-full refill.

Small hatchbacks remain at the other end of the scale, with models such as the Kia Picanto and Suzuki Swift costing well below AED 200.

Hybrids sit somewhere in between when you look only at tank capacity, but their stronger fuel economy means they can be much cheaper to operate over a month.

Drivers who are not planning to switch cars can still reduce how much they spend at the pump. Simple changes to driving style, tyre pressures and trip planning can help, as explained in our guide on how to reduce fuel expenses.

October 2026’s petrol prices might still sit below the record highs of July 2022, but for UAE motorists, the impact at the pump is already substantial.
