Aston Martin pays tribute to the DB9

With the upcoming Aston Martin DB11 almost here and no DB10 in sight, the British manufacturer will have a fitting celebration for the last nine units ever to be built of the DB9.

For thirteen years, the Aston Martin DB9 has been reviewed as one of the best sports cars around from various media outlets and now it’s time to wave goodbye but not without one last hurrah. Each model will bare not only a Q badge but also a “last of 9” badge underneath. Located just in front of the door on the right front quarter panel. Each symbol is crafted onto a Mother of Pearl backdrop as is the company’s logo mounted on the hood.

Aston hasn’t revealed if they will add any unique options and trims to the interior of each model, but seeing as their Q division has a helping hand, you can expect whoever the lucky nine are have tweaked anything and everything to create a truly exclusive model.

Each model will stick with the hearty V12 6.0-litre engine pumping out around 517 horsepower. All that power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic enabling a 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and a top speed of just shy 300 km/h.

No radical changes are to be made to the exterior either for the previously mentioned badge. No price tag has been announced either although you can expect a higher premium over standard models.
