Unveiled only earlier this year, the 2017 Aston Martin DB11 is soon to launch around the world or is it? Dubai and the whole of the GCC thrive on having everything first. Case in point, the first DB11 has found a home at the British Marquee’s token showroom just around the corner from the Burj Khalifa.
Said to be one of 20 units of the first edition series set to be sold in the UAE, this perfect example of a luxurious sports car is powered by a 5.2-litre V12 turbocharged petrol engine rated at over 600 horsepower, Mated to an automated manual transmission, 0-100 km/h is achieved in just 3.9 seconds while hitting a top speed of over 300 km/h.
Available in a broad range of tasteful colours, the one on display is coated in a shade of white paint with contrasting red leather covering each of the four seats. The exterior features have many innovative and brand new features including a virtual spoiler that carefully channels the air along the side of the vehicle all the way to the rear without hindering the vehicles elegant body. Underneath the front gills are bumps to disrupt the airflow to guide air towards the previously mentioned spoiler.
Inside, signs of the British brand’s partnership with Mercedes-Benz are instantly recognisable. Of course, Aston has made their own touches to each unique item. Their latest infotainment system guides the driver to their destination via the fluid infotainment system complete with navigation. To cope with the intense heat of the UAE, both front seats have cooling options and the cabin’s air conditioning is said to be ice cold.
Other options of the display model include a premium sound system, media inputs, memory seats, keyless start, paddle shifters behind the steering wheel and a digital dashboard for perfect readings.
