X-Class V6 revealed before Geneva

Geneva may be just around the corner and it looks like the auto manufacturers around the world are just as excited as we are. Audi, Hyundai and Paganini to name a few have pounced on the opportunity before the doors open. Mercedes-Benz is the latest to show off early with their X-Class V6.

Officially known as the X 350d 4Matic, the pickup gets a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbocharged diesel motor. Rated at 259 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque and mated to a 7G-TRONIC Plus automatic gearbox, the model also gets the brands token 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive system.

Drivers can select five unique drive modes with the new X-Class V6; Comfort is selected by default but with a flick of a switch, Eco, Sport, Manual and Offroad modes can be selected. A stop/start feature is active in all drive modes except for Offroad.

There are also three all-wheel drive modes available. 4H for additional offroad traction, 4L and 4MAT for increased vehicle dynamics.

Similar to other X-Class pickups revealed last year, the X-Class V6 will be available in two distinct trims; Progressive and Power. The former includes an eight-speaker sound system, a leather-lined steering wheel and 17-inch alloy rims. Power trims offer larger 18-inch alloys, LED headlights and a fully loaded interior.

X-Class V6 availability in the UAE

While there is still no word whether or not the X-Class V6 or any other version of the pickup will be sold in the Middle East, prices start in Germany at €54,360 or AED 239,112 for the X 350d 4Matic. The model is set to launch in mid-2018 after a grand unveiling in Geneva next month.

Dubicars.com has new Mercedes-Benz and used Mercedes-Benz for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi.
