Powering the Chevy Silverado 2500HD is a 5.3L V8 engine producing 355bhp but has Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) and an updated eight-speed automatic gearbox. AFM allows the engine to shut down half its cylinders in a bid to save fuel. DFM, on the other hand, can halt cylinders in a variety of combinations, which, combined with two extra cogs in the gearbox, makes for even further fuel savings & the new eight-speed shifts smoothly, compared to the previous six-speed transmission.
The Silverado will get you moving anywhere you need to go where passing traffic is extremely easy enough with the power on tap from the V8 engine & 18-inch alloy wheels. On the inside interior is familiar and well laid out. There are no gee-whiz Jumbotron screens or oh-wow trailer backup assists on board.
