Summary

This 2023 Defender 110 HSE P400 represents one of the most balanced opportunities in the current GCC used market. With the P400 inline-six engine, you get 400 horsepower and significantly better fuel efficiency than the V8, while the HSE trim adds essential regional comforts like ventilated Windsor leather seats. Finished in white, it carries the strongest resale color for the UAE and wider GCC, ensuring it remains highly liquid in the pre-owned market. Despite the slightly higher mileage for its three-year age, this vehicle has been maintained to GCC specifications, making it a reliable choice for long-distance highway cruising or desert weekends. For a buyer wanting modern luxury that can genuinely handle a trip to Liwa, this specific listing is a standout.

This Car vs Other 2023 Defender 110s

With 83,264 km over three years, this Defender has covered roughly 27,000 km annually, which is slightly above the global average but very common for high-end SUVs in the GCC used for inter-emirate travel. The white exterior is a major advantage here, as it deflects heat more effectively during peak summer and remains the most sought-after color at resale. Because it is a GCC-spec vehicle, it retains full compatibility with local service centers and maintains a higher market value than imported American or European alternatives.

HSE P400 vs Lower Trims

The HSE trim is a significant step up from the SE, introducing premium Windsor leather upholstery and 14-way heated and cooled memory front seats—a vital feature for the Middle Eastern climate. It standardizes the Meridian Surround Sound System and the 3D Surround Camera, providing a level of interior refinement that basic trims lack. Most importantly, the P400 powertrain includes the mild-hybrid inline-six, providing 104 more horsepower than the P300 and enabling the maximum 3,500 kg towing capacity.

Defender 110 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 or the Mercedes-Benz GLE, the Defender 110 lead the segment with its unique unibody construction that allows for superior on-road manners without sacrificing its 900 mm wading depth. Its 90-litre fuel tank provides the necessary range for long desert expeditions or cross-border drives to Oman and Saudi Arabia. Unlike road-biased luxury SUVs, the Defender’s Terrain Response 2 system is specifically engineered to handle the deep silt and sand dunes common in this region.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the P400 averages approximately 10.7 L/100km combined, though heavy AC use in UAE summer traffic typically increases this figure. Service intervals are generally set at 26,000 km or 12 months, and Jaguar Land Rover maintains a robust authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. The Defender currently enjoys some of the best value retention in the premium SUV segment, depreciating at roughly 10–12% annually in the GCC, significantly outperforming its German luxury rivals.

Performance & Capability

The 400 hp inline-six engine provides a 0–100 km/h time of 6.1 seconds, offering effortless overtaking power on the E11 or E311 highways. Equipped with Electronic Air Suspension, the vehicle can be raised to a maximum ground clearance of 291 mm, allowing it to clear obstacles that would stop most crossovers. The twin-speed transfer box provides a dedicated low-range for technical desert driving, ensuring you have the torque needed for climbing steep dunes. Even at high speeds, the adaptive dynamics keep the cabin stable and hushed, making it an excellent long-distance tourer.

Comfort & Cabin

This HSE trim is configured with a 7-seat layout, making it a highly practical choice for larger GCC families. The cabin is designed for extreme heat, featuring a powerful multi-zone climate control system and ventilated front seats that are essential from May through September. The 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen is crisp and responsive, while the Meridian audio system provides immersive sound quality that masks road noise. Standard acoustic glass and premium materials ensure a luxury experience, whether you are commuting in the city or exploring the Northern Emirates.

Safety

The 2023 Defender 110 comes with a comprehensive safety suite including a 3D Surround Camera for precise parking and off-road maneuvering. Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist make long highway drives between Abu Dhabi and Dubai significantly less fatiguing. Blind Spot Assist is particularly useful in fast-moving local traffic, while the Wade Sensing technology provides real-time depth information during rainy seasons or wadi crossings. It also features a full array of airbags and ISOFIX points for family safety.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who needs a 7-seater that is as comfortable at a five-star hotel as it is in the dunes of Sharjah, this white HSE P400 is the ideal spec. It offers the best mix of engine power, luxury features, and resale security available in the market today.
