Summary

This 2024 Jetour T2 LUX is a compelling buy for those seeking the rugged aesthetic of a high-end off-roader without the unrefined road manners of a traditional ladder-frame 4x4. With approximately 52,000 km, this vehicle has been driven more than the typical UAE average for its age, but it remains a modern, tech-forward choice that stands out in Black, a high-demand resale color in the GCC. The T2 represents a bridge between city-dwelling crossovers and desert-ready SUVs, offering a unibody construction that ensures better highway isolation and cabin quietness than many of its boxy rivals. For a buyer in the Gulf, the combination of a turbocharged 254 hp engine and an intelligent four-wheel-drive system makes it a versatile daily driver capable of handling both urban congestion and soft-sand weekend excursions.

This Car vs Other 2024 Jetour T2s

At 52,132 km, this T2 has seen more active use than many 2024 models on the market, reflecting the high-mileage highway driving common across the Emirates. This usage makes it a more accessible entry point into a nearly-new model year while retaining the current generation's advanced interior tech. The Black exterior is one of the most resilient colors for resale in the UAE and Saudi markets, providing a distinct advantage when it comes time to trade up.

LUX vs Lower Trims

The LUX trim adds essential features that GCC buyers value, most notably the 540-degree panoramic camera system which provides a transparent view of the ground beneath the chassis. It also steps up to a premium 12-speaker Sony audio system and includes ventilated front seats, a critical comfort feature for the local summer heat. Unlike base trims, the LUX is equipped with the full 15.6-inch high-resolution infotainment screen powered by the Snapdragon 8155 chip for a lag-free experience.

T2 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the GWM Tank 300, the Jetour T2 offers a significantly more spacious cabin and superior on-road refinement due to its unibody chassis, making it a better choice for family commutes between emirates. While the Tank 300 is a dedicated rock-crawler, the T2 leads in interior technology and legroom, boasting a 2,800 mm wheelbase that surpasses many rivals in the compact-to-midsize SUV segment. Its 70-litre fuel tank also provides a generous range for long-distance desert highway runs.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.0T engine typically averages between 9.5L and 11L/100km in GCC city traffic, improving on long highway stretches. As a Chinese-spec vehicle in the UAE market, buyers should note that authorized dealer warranty coverage may differ from GCC-spec units, though parts availability is strong due to the brand's growing regional presence. Service intervals are generally every 10,000 km, and Jetour's expansion across the UAE and Saudi Arabia ensures accessible maintenance through a widening network of specialized centers.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0L Kunpeng turbocharged engine produces a healthy 254 hp and 390 Nm of torque, allowing for confident highway overtaking and a tested 0-100 km/h time of approximately 8.9 seconds. Its intelligent XWD system by BorgWarner automatically manages torque distribution between axles, paired with seven selectable driving modes including dedicated settings for Sand and Rock. With 220 mm of ground clearance and a respectable 700 mm wading depth, it is well-suited for typical light off-roading and navigating water-logged streets during the rainy season.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for five passengers with a focus on premium materials, featuring 'cloud' seat foam that provides excellent support for long-distance drives across the GCC. Dual-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents ensures the interior stays cool even in temperatures exceeding 45°C, while the panoramic sunroof adds a sense of space without compromising insulation. The 15.6-inch central display serves as the hub for all vehicle functions, complemented by a fully digital instrument cluster and a cooled center console for beverages.

Safety

The LUX trim comes standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Lane Keep Assist, which are highly effective for fast-moving UAE highway traffic. Passive safety is managed by six airbags and a high-strength submarine-grade steel cage construction designed for maximum torsional stiffness. Additional safety tech includes Hill Descent Control and a 540-degree camera system that minimizes blind spots in both tight parking spaces and tricky off-road trails.

The bottom line

For the UAE buyer who wants the look of a premium off-roader with the tech and comfort of a modern city SUV, this 2024 Jetour T2 LUX offers exceptional value and standout road presence.
