Summary

This 2024 Nissan Patrol LE T2 offers a significant buying advantage for GCC drivers looking for the legendary V8 powertrain in nearly new condition. The white exterior is the highest-demand resale color in the region, ensuring maximum value retention and heat reflection during extreme summers. With the transition to smaller turbocharged engines in newer models, this 5.6-litre naturally aspirated V8 is becoming a sought-after 'final edition' of the traditional heavy-duty configuration. It stands out for its unmatched desert capability combined with refined highway manners, making it a versatile choice for both executive commuting and family adventures. The single most important factor for a UAE buyer is the bulletproof reliability and the peace of mind provided by Nissan's massive local service footprint.

This Car vs Other 2024 Patrols

With a mileage of 116,394 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly more than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for the GCC market. However, this is largely offset by the 2024 model year status, meaning you benefit from the latest Y62 interior tech and refined suspension tuning. The white paint is a strategic choice for the local used market, consistently commanding faster sales and higher prices than darker alternatives.

LE T2 vs Lower Trims

The LE T2 trim is the entry point into the premium V8 experience, adding substantial value over the V6-powered SE trims. It introduces the powerful 400 hp engine, a power-operated tailgate, and a sunroof as standard. Unlike lower variants, the T2 also includes the 12.3-inch high-definition infotainment screen and remote engine start, a critical feature for pre-cooling the cabin in the intense GCC heat.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol's primary rival is the Toyota Land Cruiser; while the Toyota often leads in outright resale, the Patrol offers a wider cabin and a more compliant ride on paved roads. Its 140-litre fuel tank provides superior range for long-distance desert crossings or trans-emirate drives compared to many European luxury SUVs. Additionally, the Nissan's air conditioning system is widely regarded as one of the most powerful in the segment, a vital edge during August afternoons.

Running Costs & Resale

The 5.6L V8 is a thirsty engine, with real-world GCC fuel consumption typically averaging between 16 and 18 L/100km in mixed traffic. Authorized service centers are available in every major city across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, making maintenance convenient and parts readily accessible. The Patrol holds some of the strongest resale values in the world here, typically depreciating only 8–10% annually for GCC-spec models. Regular service intervals occur every 10,000 km, which is the standard for high-durability Japanese SUVs in the region.

Performance & Capability

The 400 hp V8 engine delivers a 0–100 km/h time of approximately 7.3 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on fast-moving highways like the E11. It features a genuine low-range transfer case and selectable drive modes for Sand, Rock, and Snow, making it a formidable tool for Liwa or Big Red weekend excursions. With a 3,500 kg braked towing capacity, it easily handles large boat trailers or horse boxes common in the GCC.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat layout features a generous third row and dedicated rear climate control vents to ensure all passengers stay cool. This LE T2 trim comes equipped with a large center cool box to keep beverages chilled during long family road trips. The cabin is well-insulated against the region's dust and road noise, providing a quiet environment even at high cruising speeds.

Safety

Standard safety features on the LE T2 include a comprehensive airbag suite (front, side, and curtain) and a 360° camera system to aid in parking such a large vehicle. It features Intelligent Cruise Control and Blind Spot Warning, which are essential for navigating the multi-lane, high-speed traffic typical of Dubai and Riyadh. The body-on-frame construction provides an inherent layer of passive safety and durability for off-road impacts.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the peak of Nissan's V8 era with the latest tech, this 2024 Patrol represents a durable, high-spec workhorse that will hold its value better than almost anything else on the road.
