2018 Range Rover Velar detailed in New York

Not too long ago, Range Rover revealed an all-new model slotting in between Sport and Evoque models. All we had to go on was a handful of images to see what’s in store. Now that the New York Motor Show is in full swing, the 2018 Range Rover Velar has made its grand debut.

Underneath, the 2018 Range Rover Velar borrows the same lightweight aluminium platform Jaguar F-Pace. Slotting in between BMW X6 and X4 rivals in terms of size, Range Rover’s latest model ships with a plethora of state of the art interior features.

Not one, but two 10-inch touchscreen displays can be found inside 2018 Range Rover Velar models. One serves as the multimedia interface with navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and other media options. The second screen serves as a gateway to various vehicle functions.

There is also a third digital display measuring in at 12.3-inches and serves as a dashboard cluster.

2018 Range Rover Velar are expected to go on sale this summer with an unconfirmed price. With all the new tech on show, Velar models are easily the most up-to-date in the Range Rover range.

Velar’s will be available with three engine options. Two petrol powertrains and a single diesel. Those seeking a petrol unit can choose between a 2-litre turbocharged four cylinder rated at 247 horsepower or a supercharged V6 rated at 380 hp. Both are controlled by an eight-speed auto transmission powering all four corners.

Until the summer time, we’ve got new Range Rover and used Range Rover for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman.
